Maybe you’ve already read the “official” bio but all I can say is….GRACE. It is only by God’s grace that I am here today. His providential hand has guided and directed me all these years. It is only by His grace that I can minister to the hearts of my family, friends and community.
The everyday me is…..
~To my very core an encourager. It is what I spend so much of my thoughts on and my time doing; encouraging people to LIVE FULLY.
~A teacher. Ever since I was a little girl lining up my dolls and stuffed animals to teach them, I have never stopped teaching. Whether on the job, in my home or at church, I can often be found instructing.
~Some around me may think of me as the food police…but really I’m no such thing (smile). I don’t tell people what to eat. I let my food choices speak for themselves and welcome questions as they come. I believe in moderation in all things. I eat well 85% of the time but I also like dark chocolate covered almonds and a few JAX cheese curls every now and again (OMG GMO in those cheese curls but they’re so good).
~My husband teases me that I wear a ‘uniform’ because I style my clothes (same colors, style, combinations) the same way all the time. A crisp white button up and slacks with a blazer would be my typical uniform. Well, I recently added some FUN to my wardrobe that matches my exuberant personality. Quite frankly, I like my ‘uniform’ and am quite comfortable in it and I’m open to trying new things.
~I never thought I’d have 6 children. It is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Indeed, children are a blessing and a reward. These little people have made me a better human being.
~My teachers and mentors used to be call me “Little Oprah”.
~In high school and early college I was quite the tomboy. Ha! In hindsight that’s very funny because now I just love being a lady.
~Oh how I love thee…my morning cup o’ joe. Just the ceremony of making coffee and taking that first sip brings a smile to my face.
~I treasure friendships, always have for as long as I can remember. I have been blessed to have a special friendship with one sweetie for over 37 years. I count my friends one of God’s greatest gifts to me. The bible says a friend sticks closer than a brother.
~I thought I’d ask someone who knows me best what they’d say about me and here’s what my hubby had to say…”Beautiful, great health, helpful, pleasant, a great wife and mother, a true homemaker, a business woman, intelligent, a genius, thoughtful, caring, well prepared, consistent, highly motivated, powerful, insightful, a woman’s woman, best friend, great speaker and most of all my BB (inside joke).”
I thank you for visiting this sacred space. I pray you are encouraged, empowered, edified and INSPIRED TO LIVE FULLY!
Come again and tell a friend.
