Jesus makes it very clear that it would do us good to focus our time, energy and efforts on this present moment.<\/p>\n

He says in Matthew 6:25-34 \u201cThat is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life\u2014whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn\u2019t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don\u2019t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren\u2019t you far more valuable to him than they are? \u00a0<\/strong>Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cAnd why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don\u2019t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.\u00a0<\/strong>And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?\u201c So don\u2019t worry about these things, saying, \u2018What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. \u201cSo don\u2019t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today\u2019s trouble is enough for today.”<\/em><\/h6>\n

We would be wise to follow his instructions in this.<\/p>\n

Bask in the beauty, majesty and splendor that abounds at this very second. The wonderous way your body was made. Feel your heart beating within your chest. Inhale. Exhale. Breath in the breathe of life.<\/p>\n

What sounds do you hear? What beauty lies before your eyes?<\/p>\n

This moment; NOW, is all we have. The past is gone and the future isn\u2019t here yet. Embrace THIS moment now. Be encouraged, empowered and equipped to be present for His presence by embracing Him in this moment.<\/p>\n

Challenge: Examine where you spend most of your thought life? \u00a0Are you dwelling on the past? \u00a0Are you concerned and anxious about what’s to come? \u00a0Be intentional about embracing this moment called now; the now moment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
