You read it in books. You see it on the big screen. All characters have a backstory and we do too.

When you hear from me in this space or see me on social media, you’re just interacting with a part of me.

A part of me that has healed and is still healing. A part of me that’s mommy, wife, minister, health coach. A part of me that is a discipline of Christ.

But we have parts of us that are broken too. Wounded parts. Scarred parts. Yeah, all that stuff is part of the backstory. And there is beauty in the backstory.

What’s in your backstory? And how does that stuff in your backstory show up in your today?

Does it present as physical illness? Anger? Resentment? Frustration with God? Or something else?

While I don’t know your backstory, there is a God who does. And He specializes in taking all the fragmented pieces of our backstory and masterfully weaving them into a beautiful tapestry. God is the ultimate Kintsugi artist, mending our broken pieces together into an even more valuable work of art. We are truly His masterpiece, created in Him anew for good works (Ephesians 2:10).

And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
